How long it takes

Surah Al-Fatihah has 7 ayahs, so it is short enough to learn in one sitting: take it one ayah at a time, then recite the whole surah from memory.

How to memorize it, one ayah at a time

  1. Listen firstPlay the ayah several times while you follow the Arabic with your eyes.
  2. Repeat it aloudSay it again and again until it flows. Qaree counts every repetition for you.
  3. Recite it from memoryLook away and recite. Qaree's recite mode listens and highlights the exact words you missed.
  4. Join it and reviewRecite the new ayah together with the ones before it, and go over the surah again the next day.
